The latest IDF Operation Roaring Lion military operation targeted the seventh bridge over the Litani River, clearly part of Hezbollahβs strategy to break supply lines. βIDF OPERATION ROARING,β which began in March 2026, has now gradually evolved into a solid ground operation, where Israeli forces have penetrated nearly 18 miles into southern Lebanon and destroyed several positions.
According to official reports, more than 1,600 missiles and rockets were fired by Hezbollah, inflicting heavy damage on Israeli civilian areasβ29 dead and thousands wounded. The figures were revealed in the Israeli Defense Briefing itself, which described the action as a βdefence-based responseβ. The purpose of IDF OPERATION ROARING is clearβto create a strong buffer zone so as to secure the cities of northern Israel. Troops on the ground are not only blowing up bridges, but also eliminating Hezbollah-linked warehouses, tunnels and communications networks.
Interestingly, the operation is being conducted in coordination with UN Peacekeepers, showing a delicate balance internationally. Although critics say targeting civilian infrastructure like bridges could exacerbate the humanitarian crisis, the IDF claims the targets were being used in βmilitary uses,β which are considered legitimate targets under international law of war.
Ground reports and satellite images also confirm that several positions witnessed heavy post-blast damage. Videos and posts going viral on X (formerly Twitter) also clearly show the bridge collapse, although these must be independently verified. This whole series of events points to escalating tensions in the Middle East, where when a small conflict escalates into a major warβitβs hard to say.

IDF Operation Roaring Lion is no longer just a counterattack, but has become a long-term strategic operation, which can also affect the regional balance of power.
