While this currently represents a temporary peace agreement, it does not resolve the long-standing fundamental political and territorial conflicts between Gaza Strip Peace Agreement and Israel. If we want to bring peace, then fundamental structural reforms, security arrangements and ensuring the rights of both parties are also necessary.
International interventions are partly for local benefit and partly for political gain. The US and European countries take regional stability and human rights into account, but also take into account political and economic interests, political dominance and security goals. However, this agreement does not ensure lasting peace and compromises local interests as well as strategic advantages. Such agreements could provide a model for future negotiations and mediation, provided all parties make serious commitments and implement structural reforms.
