Several world leaders, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Premier Giorgia Meloni and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, congratulated Donald Trump on his victory. However, Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet shared any message with Trump.
Claiming victory on Wednesday, Donald Trump vowed to “fix” the country. As he came on stage on Wednesday, he vowed to bring a “golden age” in America. Trump has won three crucial swing states – Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia – strengthening his path to 270 electoral votes. Kamala Harris has won in Virginia and Hawaii, adding to her previous victories in Democratic strongholds such as California, New York and Illinois.
Wall Street and the dollar have rallied since Donald Trump’s Republican Party won, seemingly on expectations he will push aggressively to boost growth. At 78, Trump will be the oldest person to be sworn into office on January 20. In a speech in Florida, he vowed to fulfill his slogan of “making America great again” in front of a crowd of supporters chanting “USA!”
