The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) concluded its โParivartan Yatraโ campaign with a huge rally held at the Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata.TMC targets Modi, who saw the huge crowd at the rally, said the people of West Bengal now want change. He lashed out at Mamata Banerjee’s government from the stage, saying corruption, โcut moneyโ syndicates and political violence had become commonplace in the state.
Prime Minister Modi said the people of Bengal wanted development but an atmosphere of scams and fear had been created under the rule of the All India Trinamool Congress. According to him, the BJP received huge support in different parts of the state during its โParivartan Yatraโ, clearly indicating that people are in the mood for change in the 2026 Assembly elections.

During the rally TMC targets Modi, inaugurated development projects worth over Rs 18,000 crore for West Bengal. These projects include several schemes related to road construction, urban infrastructure and connectivity. He said the central government aims to accelerate economic growth in Bengal and create new job opportunities.
However, there was also political tension around the rally. A police officer and BJP leader Tamaghna Ghosh was injured in a clash between Bharatiya Janata Party and All India Trinamool Congress supporters. After the incident, the two parties started accusing each other. The BJP alleged that TMC workers deliberately tried to disrupt the atmosphere, while the TMC said BJP supporters acted as provocateurs.
Police quickly brought the situation under control and the crowd was brought under control. The administration said maintaining law and order in the election environment is the top priority.
Political analysts believe the Kolkata rally has sent a big message in Bengal politics. While the BJP is trying to increase its popularity in the state, the TMC targets Modi is preparing for the elections with the confidence of its strong organisation.
Now the eyes are on the 2026 Assembly elections, where the people of Bengal will decide the direction of power in the state. The political atmosphere is constantly heating up and the contest between the BJP and the TMC could intensify in the coming months.
