Priyanka Gandhi Statement Accountability and the Silence Over Child Deaths in India

Priyanka Gandhi statement accountability compares 26/11 resignations with today’s lack of responsibility over child deaths and governance failures.

When the Priyanka Gandhi Statement Accountability whole country was in shock after the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, the Maharashtra Chief Minister and Home Minister took moral responsibility and resigned.

At the time, it was believed that if the people were not safe, if there had been a terrorist attack on state soil, it was wrong to remain in power. Priyanka Gandhi Statement Accountability also said that we should be accountable to our people and our land.

But today, the situation has changed completely. Today, 25 innocent children died from drinking poisonous cough syrup, 15 people lost their lives in Indore from drinking dirty and contaminated water, but not a single person in government moved his chair.

It’s not a question of why the accident happened, the real question is where did the responsibility go? Today’s government is showing less sensitivity and more insensitivity.

β€œChildren are dying, parents are beating their chests, but the government is sitting in peace.” These deaths were not natural disasters, they were failures of the systemβ€”gross negligence in drug testing, messy water supplies, and sluggish administration.

Despite all this, no resignation, no apology, just rhetoric. The BJP government is at the forefront of politics on every issue, but when it comes to human life, it remains silent. The previous government at least had moral fear and respect for the anger of the people.

Today, those in power think that if they get a majority, everything is forgiven. In plain English, β€œHumanity loses in the game of saving the chair.” If the government is not moved by the death of a child, if no one is held responsible for not being able to provide clean water, it is a dangerous sign for democracy.

The country cannot run by slogans alone, the country runs by accountability. The resignations after 26/11 are still a reminder that power is for service. Today’s events are proving that when power becomes insensitive, it becomes compulsory for the people to ask questions.
