Iran’s Hidden Tunnel Fleet Resurfaces in U.S.–Israel War Footage

Iran’s hidden tunnel fleet resurfaces in the U.S.–Israel war, raising new fears over threats in the Strait of Hormuz.

The ongoing war between America–Israel and Iran has now taken a new turn. Meanwhile, an old but dangerous video is again going viral fast on the internet. The video gives a glimpse of Iran’s “Hidden Tunnel Fleet,” hidden in secret underground tunnels along the Persian Gulf.

The video was first released in January 2025 by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The video shows dozens of high-speed “Zolfaghar” speedboats parked inside the dark tunnels. The speedboat is equipped with anti-ship missiles and naval mines, which can be used to destroy enemy vessels at sea.

Now that the United States and Israel have launched joint airstrikes against Iran since February 28, 2026, the old footage has come back into the spotlight. Iran is also responding strongly during this war. According to the report, Iran has fired several ballistic missiles, while the U.S. has fired several ballistic missiles. The Navy is also conducting major operations in Gulf waters.

Recently, the US Navy targeted and sunk the Iranian frigate “IRIS Dena” with torpedoes. Also destroyed were some ships, which were engaged in laying mines at sea. The action is said to be aimed at securing the Strait of Hormuz, which is considered vital to the world’s oil supply.

Iranian supporters believe the speedboats hidden in the tunnel could pose a serious threat to large US aircraft carriers. According to him, if Iran launches a sudden attack, dozens of speedboats could come out simultaneously and cause chaos in the Gulf.

But many defense experts see the claims as exaggerated propaganda. According to him, the speedboat will not last long in the face of modern drones, fighter jets and missiles.

The war is currently in its 12th day and attacks continue on both sides. The world’s eyes are now on the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz, as global oil supplies and the economy could be directly affected if conditions deteriorate here.

Meanwhile, the viral video of Iran’s “Hidden Tunnel Fleet” once again raises the question — is it really a major threat to America’s Navy, or just a show-of-strength tactic?
