Stealth Shahed-101 Electric Drone Goes Viral, World Surprised

Viral video shows a stealth Shahed-101 electric drone with quiet flight and foldable wings, sparking debate over Iran’s new drone tech and future warfare.

A new video quickly went viral on social media on Tuesday morning, claiming to be the new electric variant of the Shahed-101 electric drone. The video shows the small drone launching from a desert-like area.

According to the report, the new model is designed slightly different from the old drone. During takeoff, the rear of the drone appears to use a small jet engine, while the front is fitted with an electric propeller, which produces very little noise during the drone’s flight. Experts say it could make β€œelectric hum” drones more stealthy than ever before.

Coming to the design, the drone is fitted with fixed wings and an X-shaped tail. Analysts believe the design could give the drone more stable flight and better control. Also, it is said to have foldable wings, allowing it to be easily stored or transported in small spaces.

The Shahed-101 electric drone was reportedly first seen in 2024 in an operation by the Lebanese organization Hezbollah. Now, after the viral video, people are speculating that the drone could be used for β€œone-way attack” missions in the future.

However, it is also important to clarify that the range, payload or real technical details of this drone have yet to be officially confirmed by Iran. Some people on social media have also been jokingly sharing the β€œIran goes green” meme, as the drone reportedly uses an electric system.

Currently, defense experts around the world are watching the new drone technology after the viral video. If these claims prove true, silent attack drones could bring about a new change in warfare strategy.
