β‚Ή800 Crore Ropeway Dancing in the Air: Who Is Responsible for This Fear?

Rs 800 Cr Ropeway swaying in strong winds raises serious questions about safety, construction quality, and corruption in Indian infrastructure projects.

Believe me, the BJP government has spent around Rs 800 Cr Ropeway in making this, but looking at the condition, a little wind blows and it dances as if Rihanna is dancing on the stage.

Just think, what would be the condition of those who are restless inside. My heart trembled, my breath got stuck, only one question kept roaming in my mind – what is the price of life in this country?

The ropeway was declared a symbol of the country’s development, big speeches were made on TV, leaders cut ribbons, people clicked photographs, and then everyone remained silent. But the ground reality is that the project gets passed due to commission in the contract, substandard material and without proper testing.

Rs 800 Cr Ropeway

After spending Rs 800 crore, if the ropes hanging in the air start scaring people, then it would be clear that the money is not in development but in the pockets.

Every big project in India now stinks of corruption. The bridge collapsed, the road caved in, the train got delayed, now the ropeway started dancing.

The question is not why is the wind moving, the question is why is the system moving. If there is proper engineering, honest monitoring and accountability, then how can a structure that scares the air not be built?

A poor man pays taxes, bears inflation, but gets fear, risk and insecurity in return. The leaders sat in the AC room and tweeted, β€œEveryone is safe”, but the young family was trapped inside, and every second seemed like death for them. If something happens, an investigation is conducted, the report is filed, and a new scam comes a few months later.

This is the question every Indian should ask – can we just tolerate it? Are you accepting shoddy work in the name of development? Unless the punishment for corruption is fixed, whether it is Rs 800 crore or Rs 8000 crore, the result remains the same. A country progresses only when the value of a life is considered more important than a vote.
